Method of appointment

Direct Recruitment (From among Scheduled Tribes only)

Note: - Applications received from candidates other than Scheduled Tribe candidates will be rejected.  Individual communications regarding the rejection of their applications for the above reason will not be issued.

Age Limit

:

Should have completed 20 (Twenty) years and should not have completed Forty Five (45) years as on 1-1-2003.  (No other age relaxation will be allowed)

Note:- In the absence of qualified candidates within the age limit the upper age limit shall be relaxed upto 50 years.  But in no case the maximum age limit shall exceed 50 (Fifty) years.

Qualifications:-

1.Degree in Instrument Technology and Engineering or any other qualification recognized by the Government as equivalent thereto with not less than 60% marks in the qualifying Examination.

2. Eight (8) years experience in Engineering profession of which at least 3 (Three) years should be teaching Experience as Lecturer not below the Diploma level  in a recognized/ approved Institution.

Note:-

1)      Diploma in Instrument technology and Engineering obtained after undergoing a regular course of study for not less than three years with 60% marks in the qualifying examination and a pass in Sections A & B of AMIE will be considered as equivalent to a Degree in Engineering.

2)      In the case of first or second class Post Graduate Degree holders in Engineering/ Technology or any other qualification recognized by the Government as equivalent thereto, the prescribed 60% marks in the concerned branch for Basic Degree will not be insisted upon.

3)      The experience qualification will be acquired after obtaining the technical qualification prescribed for the post.

Probation:- Every person appointed to the post shall from the date on which he join duty be on probation for a total period of two years on duty with in a continuous period of three years.

Liability to serv e in the Defence Service:- Persons appointed in the post shall be liable not withstanding that at the time of requisition, they are holding higher appointments to serve for a minimum period of four (4) years (including periods spent on training) in the Defence Forces or on assignments relating to Defence efforts any where in India or abroad if required.  The liability to serve in the Defence Services will be limited to the first 10 (ten)  years of service and will not ordinarily apply to persons above 40 years of age.

Appointments are made subject to the rank secured in the Ranked List of candidates prepared in pursuance of this Notification subject to the conditions laid down in G.O (MS) 25/94/GAD 22.1.94 allowing Special Reservations to and Scheduled Tribes in accordance with the procedures made for this purpose from time to time and subject to the rules under sections 3©, 17(a), 17 (b) of Part II of Kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules 1958.
