(iii) The Kerala Public Service Commission shall have the power to cancel the advice for appointment of any candidates to the service of Kerala Financial Corporation, if it is subsequently found that such advice was made under some mistake.  On such cancellation the appointing authority shall terminate the service of candidate, provided that the cancellation of advice for appointment by the Commission and subsequent termination of service of the candidate by the appointing authority shall be made within the period of his/her probation 240 days from the date of his/her joining duty whichever is earlier.

3. 4. The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in GO (MS) No. 154/7/PD dated 27.05.71.  A candidate advised for appointment in the Revenue District from the ranked list prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes 5 years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former District.  Even if transfer is allowed after 5 years, it will be subject to the rules in GO (MS) No. 4/61/PD dated 02.01.1961.  Candidates already in Government Service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post.  But they can apply to higher posts when notified.

Qualifications

(i)                  Pass in SSLC Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Govt. Examinations, Kerala or its equivalent.

(ii)                A pass in the certificate of Physical Education issued by the Commissioner for Govt. Examinations, Kerala or a pass in the Vocational Higher Secondary Education in Physical Education conducted by the Board of Vocational Higher Secondary Educations, Kerala or its equivalent or any degree in Physical Education (Regular Course) such as B.P.Ed/M.P.Ed. Etc. conferred or recognized by any of the Universities in Kerala (GO (MS) No. 48/2001/G.Edn. dated 9.2.2001)

(iii)               Ex-servicemen of Army/Navy/Air Force who possess one of the following qualifications can also apply for the post.

“Physical Training Course of the Armed Forces (The Assistant Instructors Basic Course in Physical Education) OR

The Army Physical Training Instructors Corps Course OR

Naval Physical Training Corps Instructors Corps Course OR

Air Force Ground Training Instructors Course, Provided that such Ex-service personnel shall also possess SSLC or its equivalent qualifications.

NOTE

Physically handicapped persons are not eligible to apply for this post.

SPECIAL CONCESSIONS REGARDING APPOINTMENT AND AGE LIMIT

1. Preference will be given as laid down in GO (MS) No. 50/70/PD dated 12.02.70 and GO (MS) No. 9/78/G.Edn. Dated 21.01.78 to the wives of Jawans in the matter of recruitment as Teachers, if they possess the prescribed qualifications.  Soldiers in active service and those working in Base establishment are included under the terms of Jawans; Wives of Jawans should note on the side B of the application form that they are wives of Jawans.  Such candidates should obtain proper certificates from the Officer commanding stating the name, Military rank and Military address of their husbands and produce the same as and when required by the Commission GO (MS) No. 509/64/Edn. Dated 19.09.1964, GO (MS) No. 614/65/Edn. Dated 09.11.65 and GO (MS) No. 243/66/Edn. Dated 27.05.66.

2. Laboratory Attenders in the Departmental High Schools in the state who have rendered at least five years satisfactory service and who possess the prescribed qualification will be exempted from age limit. They should produce proper certificates from the Headmaster of the School specifying the date of commencement of their service and the total service put in by them as and when required by the Commission.  The candidates who claim exemption on this basis will not be given the benefit of communal reservation and will be considered only against vacancies to be filled up by open competition on the basis of merit alone. (GO (MS) No. 315/62/Edn. Dated 14.05.1962)

3. NDS Instructors who have put in not less than one years service, as NDS Instructors will be given age relaxation to the extent of their service as NDS.  Instructor subject to a maximum period of 5 years (GO (MS) No. 166/67/Edn. Dated 10.04.67).  They should produce proper certificates from the authorities concerned, as and when required by the Commission.

4. First Class Scouts and Guides will be given preference in the matter of appointment as Teachers (GO (MS) No. 122/75/G.Edn. dated 27.05.75).

5.  Those who have acquired the prescribed qualifications on or before 28.06.75 are eligible for relaxation of the maximum age limit to the extent of 6 years. (GO (MS) No. 55/78/G.Edn. dated 08.05.78)

NOTE: The candidates who claim concession in lieu of any of the above reason should state the fact in the relevant column of Side ‘B” and darken the bubble in the OMR sheet side A of application.  Otherwise the applications are liable to be rejected presuming that they are over aged candidates (For Other conditions regarding age relaxation please see para 2 of the General Conditions).  Upper age limit after allowing age relaxation as per rule should not exceed 50 years.

(iii)               In the absence of qualified hands under item (1) and item (2) above, SSLC or equivalent with six months Police or Military Training.

NOTE

  1. A working knowledge in Malayalam, Tamil or Kannada shall be an essential qualification.
  2. Physically handicapped candidates shall not be eligible for the post.  Hence sub para (X) of para 2 and 5 of the general conditions are not applicable to the post.
  3. The candidates shall produce a Medical Certificate from a Medical Officer not below the rank of a Civil Surgeon Grade II to prove the following physical qualification at the time of interview.

Dated 21.01.78 to the wives of Jawans in the matter of recruitment as Teachers, if they possess the prescribed qualifications.  Soldiers in active service and those working in Base establishment are included under the terms of Jawans; Wives of Jawans should note on the side B of the application form that they are wives of Jawans.  Such candidates should obtain proper certificates from the Officer commanding stating the name, Military rank and Military address of their husbands and produce the same as and when required by the Commission GO (MS) No. 509/64/Edn. Dated 19.09.1964, GO (MS) No. 614/65/Edn. Dated 09.11.65 and GO (MS) No. 243/66/Edn. Dated 27.05.66.

2. Laboratory Attenders in the Departmental High Schools in the state who have rendered at least five years satisfactory service and who possess the prescribed qualification will be exempted from age limit. They should produce proper certificates from the Headmaster of the School specifying the date of commencement of their service and the total service put in by them as and when required by the Commission.  The candidates who claim exemption on this basis will not be given the benefit of communal reservation and will be considered only against vacancies to be filled up by open competition on the basis of merit alone. 3. NDS Instructors who have put in not less than one years service as NDS Instructors will be given age relaxation to the extent of their service as NDS.  Instructor subject to a maximum period of 5 years (GO (MS) No. 166/67/Edn. Dated 10.04.67).  They should produce proper certificates from the authorities concerned, as and when required by the Commission.

4. First Class Scouts and Guides will be given preference in the matter of appointment as Teachers (GO (MS) No. 122/75/G.Edn. dated 27.05.75).

5.  Those who have acquired the prescribed qualifications on or before 28.06.75 are eligible for relaxation of the maximum age limit to the extent of 6 years. (GO (MS) No. 55/78/G.Edn. dated 08.05.78)

NOTE: The candidates who claim concession in lieu of any of the above reason should state the fact in the relevant column of Side ‘B” and darken the bubble in the OMR sheet side A of application.  Otherwise the applications are liable to be rejected presuming that they are over aged candidates (For Other conditions regarding age relaxation please see para 2 of the General Conditions).  Upper age limit after allowing age relaxation as per rule should not exceed 50 years.
