A Ranked List will be prepared for each district in pursuance of this notification.  The ranked lists thus prepared and  published by the Commission  shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year, subject to the condition that the said lists will continue to be in force till the publication of new lists after the expiry  of the  minimum period  of one year or till the expiry of  three years whichever is earlier. Candidates will be advised for appointment against the aforesaid vacancies  and also against the vacancies, if any reported during the currency of the list.  In case no candidate is advised from the Ranked List till the expiry of the period of 3 years of the duration of the Ranked List shall be extended for a further period of one year or till at least one candidate is advised from the list whichever is earliest.

The selection is pursuance of this notification will be made on a Revenue District basis subject to the special conditions laid down in  G.O.(MS)No. 154/71/PD dated 27.5.1971.  A candidate advised for appointment in the Revenue district from the ranked list prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she complete 5 years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district.  Even if transfer is allowed after 5  years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district.  Even if transfer is allowed  after 5 years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O.(MS) No.4/61/PD dated 2-1-1961.  Candidates already in government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post.

Qualifications

A pass in SSLC Examination conducted by the Commissioner of Government Examinations, Kerala or its equivalent.

OR

A pass in Pre-Degree Examination conducted by the Board of higher Secondary Examinations, Kerala or any other Examinations recognized by Government as equivalent there to

AND

2

A pass in TTC (Kannada) Examination conducted by the Commissioner of Government Examinations, Kerala or its equivalent.

OR

A Degree in any subject and B.Ed/ B.T/L.T (Kannada) conferred by or recognized by the Universities in Kerala.

Special Note:

1

In the absence of coandidates with T.T.C(Kannada) of Kerala, candidates holders from the Universities in Kerala, Candidates with T.C.H Mysore shall be considered for appointment.

In respect of elimination test which will be one among the parts of selection process for the post question paper for the test will be in Kannada and that the answers also will be in that language.

B

 SPECIAL CONCESSIONS REGARDING APPOINTMENT AND AGE LIMIT

1

Preference will be given as laid down in G.O(MS)No.50/70/PD dated 12.02.70 and G.O(MS)9/78/G.Edn. dated.21.01.78 to the wives of Jawans in the matter of recruitment as Teachers, if they possess the prescribed qualifications.  Soldiers in active service and those working in Base establishment are included under the terms of Jawans, Wives of Jawans should note on the top of Side B of the application form that they are wives of Jawans. Such candidates should produce proper certificates(True Copies) from the Officer commanding stating the name, Military rank and Military address of their husbands and produce the same as and when required by the Commission

2.

Laboratory Attenders in the Departmental High Schools in the State who have rendered at least five years satisfactory service and who possess the prescribed qualification will be exempted from age limit.  They should produce proper certificates from the Headmaster of the School specifying the date of commencements of their service and the total service put in by them as and when required by the Commission.  The candidates who claim exemption on this basis will not be considered only against vacancies to be filled up by open competition on the basis of merit along (G.O.Ms.315/62/Edn. Dated 14.05.1962)

N.D.S instructors who have put in not less than one year service as N.D.S. Instructors will be given age relaxation to the extent of their service as N.D.S.  Instructor subject to a maximum period of 5 years (G.O.Ms.156/67/Edn. Dated 10.04.67).  They should produce certificates from the authorities concerned, as and when required by the Commission.

        4.    

First Class Scouts and Guides will be given preference in the matter of appointment as Teacher (G.O.MS.No.122/75/.G.Edn.dated 27.05.75).

Note:-

The candidates who claim concessions in lieu of any of the above reason should state the fact in the relevant column of the Side B and darken the bubble in the OMR sheet Side A of application.  Otherwise the applications are liable to be rejected presuming that they are over aged candidates (For other conditions regarding age relaxation please see para 2 of the General conditions)  Upper age limit after allowing age relaxation as per rule should not exceed 50 years.

The application form is a single sheet of paper printed on both sides to facilitate Computer Processing also using the Optical Mark Reader.  Side ‘A’ is the OMR data sheet and Side ‘B’ is the conventional application form.  The candidates must darkened the bubbles  In Side ‘A’ and fill up columns in side ‘B’ of the applications.

A Title of Oriental Learning in Sanskrit awarded or recognised by the Universities in Kerala and Certificate in Language Teachers Training issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala.  In regard to High School Assistant(Languages) in Government Schools, a title of Oriental Learning in the concerned language awarded or recognised by the Universities in Kerala shall also be accepted in Lieu of Degree if these titles have been declared as equiavalent to Part III of Degree.

Note:-

(1)'Siksha Sastri' Examination of the Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan and 'Siksha Sastri' Examination of the Kameswar Sing Drbhanga University of Bihar will be treated as equivalent to M.Ed  Degree Examination of the Universities in Kerala for the purpose of appointment as High School Assistants (Sanskrit).

(2) Post Graduate in Sanskrit are also eligible to apply provided they have B.Ed/BT/LT .

(3)  B.Ed. should also be in the concerned subject.

A.ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

1.  A degree in Hindi conferred or recognised by the Universities in Kerala.

OR

2.  A Title of Oriental learning in Hindi awarded or recognised by the Universities in Kerala(if such title has been declared as equivalent to Part III of Degree)

OR

Praveen of the Dakshina Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha, Madras with a pass in S.S.L.C  Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala or its equivalent.

OR

Sahithyacharya of Kerala Hindi Prachar Sabha with a pass in S.S.L.C  Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala or its equivalent.

B.TRAINING QUALLIFICATIONS

B.Ed/BT/LT conferred or recognised by the Universities in Kerala.

OR

Diploma or Certificate of language Teachers Training in Hindi issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala.

OR

Diploma in Hindi Teachers training issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala

OR

A pass in any one of the following Examinations of Kendriya Hindi Sikshan mangal, Agra, namely:-

OR

(2)      Persons who have successfully undergone Pracharak Diploma - if Dakshin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha  upto and including the Academic Year 1969 -70 shall be considered to possess the requisite training qualification.

(3)      Persons who have successfully undergone  the course in Hindi Teacher Diploma Course of the Regional Hindi Training College, Gandhigram, Madhura during the Academic year 1967-68 or prior to that year shall be considered to possess the requisite training qualification.

(4)      Persons who havesuccessfully undergone tha Acharya Course of the Kerala Hindi Prachar Sabha upto and including the Academic year 1969-70 shall also be considered to possess the requisite training qualifications.

Application form and application Fee

The Application form is a single sheet of a paper printed on both sides to facilitate Computer processing also using the Optical Mark Reader(OMR) .  Side A is the OMR data sheet and side B is the conventional application form.  The candidates must darken the bubbles in the side A and fill up column in the side B of the application form.

Cost of application form is Rs.10/-(Rupees Ten only).  Cost of application for SC/ST candidates is Rs.5/- (Rupees Five only).  The application should be filled up in accordance with the directions contained in the information brochures supplied along with the application form.  The application form can be obtained from the various offices of Kerala Public Service Commission and from the various post offices in Kerala.

Note:-

(3)    Documents to prove qualification, age, community etc. have to be produced as and when called for.  No copies of documents should be attached with the application.

(4)    Application should be  submitted in the form devised and printed by the Kerala Public Service Commission and applications otherwise submitted will be summarily rejected.

Note: 1.  A separate Ranked List will be prepared for each District in pursuance of this notification.  The Ranked List thus prepared and published by the Commission shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year, subject to the condition that the said list will continue to be in force till the publication of a new list after the expiry of minumum period of one year or till the expiry  of three years whichever is earlier.  Candidates will be advised for appointment against the aforesaid vacances and also against the vacancies, if any, reported durint the currency of the list.

 (2). Candidates should submit applications for this post to the concerned District Officers of the Commission and should note the name of that District against the relevant column in  (Side B)   and should darken the bubbles in the Side A of the application.    The address of the      District   Officer to which applications are to be sent is furnished in column (10) of the notification.

       Applications should not be sent to more than one District in response to this notification.  If     applications are sent contrary to the above direction, and if he/she is selected his/her name will be removed from the ranked lists and disciplinary action will be taken against him/her.

 (3). The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a Revenue District basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O.(MS) No.154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971.  A candidate advised for appointment in the Revenue District from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for  transfer to another District unless he/she completes 5 years  continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former District.  Even if transfer is allowed after 5 years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O.(MS) No.4/61/)D dated 02.01.1961.  Candidates already in Government Service holding this post in any one District are prohibited from applying again for this post.

:

Should have completed 19 (nineteen) years of age and should not have completed 35 (Thirty five) years of age as on 01.01.2006 with usual relaxation to

Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward

Communities.

Note:-

For concessions allowed in upper age limit, subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50years, please see para(2) of the general conditions  under Part II of this Notification.

Qualification

:

1.  Pass in S.S.L.C or equivalent qualification with printing Technology under the diversified course.

OR

2.  (i)  Must have completed the S.S.L.C Course or its equivalent and

    (ii) (a) Pass in KGTE or MGTE in Machine work (Lower)

OR

          (b) Certificates issued by the After Care Home in Machine Work.

Note:-

Persons selected for appointment to the post will be given training for a period of 3 months.  They will be given an allowance fixed by Government from time to time during the period of training and will be actually appointed to the post only after the training is over.  The period of training shall not count for probation.
