Note:-1. Separate ranked lists will be prepared for each district in pursuance of this notification. The ranked lists thus prepared and published by the Commission shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year, subject to the condition that the said lists will continue to be in force till the publication of new lists after the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. Candidates will be advised for appointment against the aforesaid vacancies and also against the vacancies, if any, reported during the currency of the lists.
2. Applications should not be sent to more than one district in response to this notification. If applications are sent contrary to the above direction, and if he/she is selected his/her name will be removed from the ranked lists and disciplinary action will be taken against him/her. Candidates should submit applications for this post to the concerned District Officer of the Commission and should note the name of that District against the relevant column in side ‘B’ and darken the relevant bubbles in side ‘A’ of the application. The address of the District Officers to whom applications are to be sent is furnished in column 10 of this notification.
3. Candidates included in the Ranked lists in all Districts can also be advised against vacancies arising in the Headquarters of different Departments which will be allotted to all Districts from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasaragod by the Secretary, Kerala Public Service Commission.
4. As selection to this post is made on District-wise basis, candidates who apply to this post to the District to which they belong are eligible for weightage of five marks provided they are otherwise qualified and eligible to be included in the ranked list. Therefore a candidate who applies to the District to which he/she belongs as per this notification, should obtain a certificate issued by a competent Revenue Authority not below the rank of the Tahsildar concerned to the effect that the candidate belongs to the District to which he/she has made the application, and produce the same as and when required by the Commission. (Please see para 7 of the General Condition

Should have completed 18 (eighteen) years of age and should not have completed 35 (Thirty five) years as on 01.01.2006. with usual relaxation to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe and other Backward Communities. |

In the case of candidates who were Family Planning Voluntary Workers, the maximum age limit shall be 45 years.
Note:- For concessions allowed in upper age limit subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years, please see pare(2) of the General Conditions under Part II of this notification. In the case of Part-time contingent employees, upper age relaxation shall be given to the extent of their part-time contingent service provided their age does not exceed pensionary limit.

Note:- (i) Physically handicapped candidates are not eligible for appointment to the posts of
Watcher, Watchman, Night Watchman, Night Watcher, Marker(in the Medical Colleges), Regular Marker(Animal Husbandry Department), Chainman(Land Revenue and Town Planning Department) included in the Kerala Last Grade Service.
(ii) Women candidates are not eligible for appointment to the following posts.
1. Watchman of all categories, Watcher and Chowkidar.
2 Cleaner –cum- Conductor
3 Cleaner(Boat Cleaner, Tractor Cleaner, Van Cleaner, Ambulance Cleaner, Lorry Cleaner)
4 Fisherman.

9. Bull Keeper
(iii) A Common ranked list will be prepared for the various posts in the Last Grade Service in pursuance of this notification. Only one application need be sent for all the posts, noting the name of posts applied for as "Last Grade Servants"
(iv) Persons professing the Hindu faith will alone be appointed to posts in the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Department.
(v) A common ranked list will be prepared for the Various posts included in the Last Grade Service. Those male candidates who possess cycling qualification will be selected and advised against vacancies in the Posts of Peon(Women and Physically handicapped candidates are exempted from the requirement of cycling qualification)and Chowkidar which require cycling qualification. Others will be considered for other posts included in the Last Grade Service along with candidates possessing cycling qualification, as well.
8. Application Form and Application Fee:-
The Application form is a single sheet of paper printed on both sides to facilitate Computer processing also using the Optical Mark Reader(OMR). Side ‘A’is the OMR data sheet and side ‘B’ is the conventional application form. The candidates must darken the bubbles in side ‘A’and fill up columns in side ‘B’ of the Application form.
Cost of the Application form is Rs.10/-(Rupees Ten only) Cost of application form for SC/ST candidates is Rs.5/-(Rupees five only). The application should be filled up in accordance with the directions contained in the information brcohure supplied along with the application form. The application form can be obtained from the various offices of the Kerala Public Service Commission and from the various post offices in Kerala.
Note:- (i) Documents to prove qualification, age and community etc have to be produced as and when called for. No copies of documents should be attached with the Application.
(ii) Application should be submitted in the form devised and printed by the Kerala Public Service Commission and applications other wise will be summarily rejected.

A written and Practical Test shall be conducted at the close of training.
