NOTE: -1. A Separate Ranked List will be prepared for Thiruananthapuram district in pursuance of this notification.  The ranked list thus prepared and published by the Commission, shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year, subject to the condition that the said lists will continue to be in force till the publication of new lists after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years which ever is earlier. Candidates will be advised for appointments against the aforesaid vacancies and also against the vacancies if any, reported during the currency of the lists.  In case no candidate is advised from the ranked lists till the expiry of the period of three years the duration of the ranked list shall extended for a further period of one year or till at least one candidate is advised from the list whichever is earlier.
2.      Candidates should submit applications for this post to District Officer Thiruvananthapuram, of the Commission and should note the name of that District against the relevant column in the application (Side B) and darken the bubble in the OMR Sheet (Side A). The address of the District Officers to which applications are to be sent is furnished in Column (10) of the Notification. 3.      The selection in pursuance of the notification will be made on a Revenue District basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G O (MS) No.154/71/PD dated 27.5.1971.   A candidate advised for appointment in the Revenue District from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer for transfer to another district unless he/she completes 5 years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district.  Even if transfer is allowed after 5 years, it will be subject to the rules in G O (MS) No.4/61/PD dated 2.1.1961. 8.SPECIAL CONCESSIONS REGARDING APPOINTMENT AND AGE LIMIT

(1)  Preference will be given as laid down in G.O.(MS) No.50/70/PD dated 12.2.70 and G.O.(MS)9/78/G.Edn. dated 21.1.78 to the wives of Jawans in the matter of recruitment as Teachers, if they possess the prescribed qualifications.  Soldiers in active service and those working in Base establishment are included under the terms of Jawans, Wives of Jawans should note on the top of Side B of the application form that they are wives of Jawans.   Such candidates should obtain proper certificates from the Officer commanding

stating the name, Military rank and Military address of their husbands and produce the same as and when required by the Commission (G.O.(MS) No. 509/64/Edn. Dated 19.9.1964, G.O.(MS) No. 614/65/Edn. Dated 09.11.65 and G.O.(MS) No.243/ 66/Edn. Dated 27.5.66).

(2)  Laboratory Attenders in the Departmental High Schools in the state who have rendered at least five years satisfactory service and who possess the prescribed qualification will be exempted from age limit.  They should produce along with the application proper certificates from the Headmaster of the School specifying the date of commencements of their service and the total service put in by them as and when required by the Commission.  The candidates who claim exemption on this basis will not be given the benefit of communal reservation and will be considered only against vacancies to be filled up by open competition on the basis of merit alone (G.O.(MS) 315/62/Edn. Dated 14.5.1962).

(3)  First Class Scouts and Guides will be given preference in the matter of appointment as Teachers (G.O.(MS) No.122/75/G.Edn. dated 27.5.75).

         Note:-     The candidates who claim concessions in lieu of any of the above reason should state the fact in the relevant column of the Side B and darken the bubble in the OMR sheet side A of application.  Otherwise the applications are liable to be rejected presuming that they are over aged candidates (For other conditions regarding age relaxation please see para 2 of

        the General Conditions)   Upper age limit after allowing age relaxation as per rule should not exceed 50 years.

10.      Application Form:  The  Application form is a single sheet of a paper printed on both sides to facilitate computer processing also using the Optical Mark Reader (OMR).  Sides A is the OMR data Sheet and Sides B is the conventional application form.  The candidates must darken the bubbles in the Side A and fill up columns in Side B  of the application form.  Each application form contains a unique eight digit barcode on Side ‘A’.  This barcode is unique for each application.  The candidates have to quote this number for further communication.

         Cost of Application form is Rs. 10/- (Rupees Ten only).  Cost of Application for SC/ST candidates in Kerala in Rs.5/- (Rupees Five only).  The application should be filled up in accordance with the directions contained in the information brochure supplied along with the application form.  The application form can be obtained from the various offices of KPSC and from the various Post Offices in Kerala.

     Note:-  (i)  Documents to prove, qualification, age and Community etc.  have to be produced as and when called for.  No copies of documents should be attached with the application.

They should note the name of the District against the relevant column on side ‘B’ of the application and darken the relevant bubble on side ‘A’ of the OMR Sheet.  The address of the District Officer to which applications are to be sent is furnished in column (11) of the notification.

Group Certificate in Tailoring KGTE (Higher) or MGTE (Higher)

OR

Diploma in Craftsmanship (Tailoring  and Garment Making) issued by the Director of Industries and Commerce, Kerala or by the Director of Technical Education, Government of Kerala.

OR

National Trade Certificate in Cutting and Tailoring issued by the National Council for Training  in Vocational Trades, Government of India.

OR

Diploma in Craftsmanship  in Tailoring and Embroidery awarded by the Director of Technical Education, Government of Kerala.

8.  SPECIAL CONCESSIONS REGARDING APPOINTMENT AND AGE LIMIT

(2)   Those who have  got  registered  themselves with other State/Central Nurses                         and   Midwives  Council can also  apply for selection.  But they will have to                         get   themselves  registered  with the  Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council                       before  joining duty in the Post.

           (3)   Physically handicapped candidates are not eligible to apply for the post.
