COMMON STIPULATIONS FOR DIRECT AND BY TRANSFER RECRUITMENT
| 1 | Separate ranked lists will be prepared for each District in pursuance of this notification. The ranked lists thus prepared and published by the Commission, shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year, subject to the condition that the said lists will continue to be in force till the publication of new lists after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. Candidates will be advised for appointment against the vacancies reported during the currency of the lists. In case no candidate is advised from the Ranked list till the expiry of the period of 3 years, the duration of the Ranked list shall be extended for a further period of one year or till at least one candidate is advised from the list whichever is earlier. | |

If applications are sent contrary to the above direction, and if he/she is selected his/ her name will be removed from the ranked lists and disciplinary action will be taken against him/her. 8. SPECIAL CONCESSIONS REGARDING APPOINTMENT AND AGE LIMIT
(i) Preference will be given as laid down in G.O(Ms)No.50/70/PD dated 12.2.1970 and G.O(Ms)No.9/78/G.Edn. dated 21.1.1978 to the Wives of Jawans in the matter of recruitment as Teachers, if they possess the prescribed qualification. Soldiers in active service and those working in Base establishment are included under the term ‘Jawan’. Wives of Jawans should note on the top of Side B of the applications form that they are Wives of Jawans. Such candidates should produce along with the application proper certificates (true copies) from the commanding Officer, stating the name, Military rank and Military address of their husbands and produce the original as and when required by the
Commission (G. O (M s) No.509/64/Edn. dated, 09.09.1964, G.O (Ms) No.614/65/Edn. dated 9.11.1965 and G.O(Ms)No.243/66/Edn. dated 27.5.1966).(ii) First Class Scouts and Guides will be given preference in the matter of appointment as Teachers (G.O.(MS)No.122/75/GEdn. Dated 27.5.75)
(iii) Laboratory Attenders in the Departmental High Schools in the state who have rendered at least five years satisfactory service and who possess the prescribed qualification will be exempted from the age limit. They should produce the Certificates from the Headmaster of the school specifying the date of commencement of their service and the total service put in by them as and when called by the Commission. Candidates who claim exemption on this will not be given the benefit of communal reservation and will be considered only against the vacancies to be filled up by open competition on the basis of merit alone. Note:- Candidates who claim concessions in lieu of any of the above reason should state the fact in the relevant column on Side B and darken the bubble on side A of the application form; otherwise the applications are liable to be rejected presuming that they are over aged candidates.(For other conditions regarding age relaxation please see para 2 of the General Conditions).
9. Application form and Application fee:
The application form is a single sheet of paper printed on both sides to facilitate Computer Processing also using the Optical Mark Reader (OMR). Side ‘A’ is the OMR data sheet and Side ‘B’ is the conventional application form. The candidates must darken the bubble on Side ‘A’ and fill up columns on Side ‘B’ of the application. Candidates must fill up both sides of the application. Each application form contains a unique eight digit barcode on side ‘A’ . This barcode is unique for each application. The candidate has to quote this number for further communication. The Cost of the application form is Rs.10/- (Rupees Ten only).
The Cost of the application form for SC/ST candidates of Kerala State is Rs.5 (Rupees five only). The application should be filled up in accordance with the directions contained in the information brochure supplied along with the application form. The application form can be obtained from Post Offices in Kerala and Offices of the Kerala Public Service Commission.
Note:- (i)Self attested copies of documents to prove qualification, age, community etc. should not be attached along with the application.
(ii) Application should be submitted in the form devised and printed by the Kerala Public Service Commission and applications submitted otherwise will summarily be rejected.

Note:- 1. Separate ranked list will be prepared for each district in pursuance of this notification. The ranked lists thus prepared and published by the Commission shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year, subject to the condition that the said lists will continue to be in force till the publication of new lists after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. Candidates will be advised for appointment against the aforesaid vacancies and also against the vacancies, if any, reported during the currency of the list. In case no candidate is advised from the ranked list till the expiry of the period of three years the duration of the ranked list shall be extended for a further period of one year or till at least one candidate is advised from the list whichever is earlier.

institution recognised by the Indian Nursing Council.
(3) Registration with the Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council.
Note:- (1) In the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes and those who belonged to Scheduled Tribes before the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe Orders (Amendment) Act, 1976 came into force and who are admitted to Auxiliary Nurse Midwife Course prior to the enforcement of Act ie. 27.07.1977, qualification under item (i) will be a pass in Standard VIII. The relaxation will be allowed only in the absence of fully qualified Scheduled Tribe candidates and to the extent necessary for filling up the quota reserved for Scheduled Tribe Candidates alone. In respect of Scheduled Caste and other Backward Classes item (i) of the qualification will be relaxed as completion of S.S.L.C Course (failed candidates are also eligible). This relaxation will be only to the extent necessary to fill up the quota reserved for Scheduled Caste and Other Backward Classes.(2) Those who have got registered themselves with other State/Central Nurses and Midwives Council can also apply for selection. But they will have to get themselves registered with the Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council before joining duty in the Post.
(3) Physically handicapped candidates are not eligible to apply for the post.
