The above vacancies are now in existence. The Ranked list published by the Commission in pursuance of this notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year provided that the said list continues to be in force till the publication of a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. Candidates will be advised from the said list against the vacancy noted above and also against the vacancies if any, reported to the Commission in writing during the currency of the list.

6. Age limit   : Must have completed Thirty five (35) years and must not have completed Forty five (45) years   of age as on 01.01.2007

NOTE:- 1)Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled    Tribes, OtherBackward Classes and not already in the service of Government   shall be eligible for relaxation of age limit as provided in Sub Rule (c ) of rule 10    of Part II of the  Kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1958 subject to the    specific condition that the upper age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years.

  2) The upper age limit for recruitme nt to the post, shall, in the case of any     candidate    already in the Department including the candidates belonging to     Scheduled    Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes be 50 years.

7. Qualifications:

(a) Doctorate in Economics or Econometrics with a basic Degree/Diploma/Training in Mathematics/Statistics/Economics from a recognized University or Institution and four years experience in Economic Planning and Models and in the application of Econometric methods in macro and micro level planning.

                                                OR

(b)               A first class or High Second Class Masters Degree in Econometrics/ Statistics with specialization in Econometrics and Economic forecasting from a recognized University or Institution and seven years experience in Economic Planning and Models and in the application of Econometric Methods in Macro and Micro Level planning.

OR

(c)               A First class or High Second class Masters Degree in Economics/Mathematics with Diploma or Training in Statistics with specialization in Econometrics and Economic forecasting from a recognized University or institution, and 7years experience in Economic Planning and Models and in the application of Economic methos in macro and micro level planning.

Desirable(a) Experience in the application of Econometric  methods to planning     problems either in Government Institutions or in recognized   Universities  or other Institution.                    

(b) Published work in Economic Planning involving the use of    quantitative methods.

Note:-1) Only a pass in Masters Degree in the concerned subject is necessary in the   case of candidates already in the Department. The qualification of experience prescribed for the post shall be one acquired after the acquisition of the academic qualification prescribed for the post.Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes  of  Kerala need not possess the qualification of experience prescribed for the  post.

8.Reservation of appointment:-The rules of reservation prescribed in Rules 14 to 17 of Part II of K S & SSR  1958 are not applicable to this post

9. Probation:-Every person appointed to this post shall from the date on which he joins duty be on probation for a period of 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years.

                     Officers of the Technical Education Department, Public Works Department, ,Public Health Engineeering Dept,Industries Department .Architecture and Town Planning Department may also apply, and they will be allowed age relaxation to the extent of their service in these departments.

Note

.Percentage of marks obtained for the above mentioned examinations should also be furnished in the column prescribed for noting qualifications for the post in the application form.  The term I class means, "I class with a minimum of 60% Aggregate marks"  (G.O.(P) No.6/2003/H.Edn. dated 24.1.2003).

 

Probation:

Those who are appointed to the post shall from the date on which they join duty be on probation for a period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years.

 

Liability to serve in the Defence Services : Persons appointed to the post shall be liable notwithstanding that at the time of requisition they are holding higher appointments, to serve for a minimum period of four years (including periods spent in training) in the defence services or on assignment relating to defence efforts anywhere in India or abroad if so required.  The liability to serve in the defence services will be limited to the first ten years of service and will not ordinarily apply to persons above 40 years of age.

Note:- Those who are appointed in the post should serve for four(4) years during the first ten years of their service (including the period of Training) anywhere in India or any other Foreign Country under defence service or services connected with defence.  Those who have completed 45 years of age are exempted from the above Compulsory Military Service.

1.      Degree in Modern Medicine or equivalent qualification.

2.      Permanent Registration in class A of Modern Medicine with Travancore Cochin Medical Council.

Note: (1) Persons who have registered themselves with other State/Central Medical Council may also apply but they will have to get themselves registered under Travancore Cochin Medical Practitioners Act before they join duty.

(2) For persons who were in defence service, the first one year of their service will be treated as House Surgency

NOTE:-Personnel working in various departments of Government and acquired MBBS qualification while in  service will be given exemption from upper  age limit to the extent necessary for direct recruitment. The maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years.
