Note:- (1) Separate ranked list will be prepared for  each district in pursuance of this notification.  The ranked list thus prepared and published by the Commission, shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year, subject to the condition that the said list will continue to be in force till the publication of new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier.  Candidates will be advised for appointment against the aforesaid vacancies and also against the vacancies if any, reported during the currency of the lists.  In case no candidate is advised from the ranked lists till the expiry of the period of three years the duration of the ranked list shall be extended for a further period of one year or till at least one candidate is advised from the list whichever is earlier.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      (2) Application should not be sent to more than one district in response to this notification.  If application are sent contrary to the above direction, and if he is selected his name will be removed from the ranked lists and disciplinary action will be taken against him. Candidates should submit applications for this post to the concerned District Officer of the Commission and should note the name of that District against the relevant column in the application (Side B) and darken the bubble in the OMR Sheet (Side ‘A’).  The address of the District Officer to which applications are to be sent is furnished in column (10) of the notification.

(3)              The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a Revenue District basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in  G.O.(MS)No.154/71/PD dated, 27.5.71.  A candidate advised for appointment in the Revenue District from the ranked list prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he completes 5 years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district.  Even if transfer is allowed after 5 years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O.(MS)No.4/61/PD dated, 02.01.1961. 

      Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post but they can apply to higher posts when notified.

5. Method of appointment:  Direct Recruitment.

6. Age limit  : Should have completed 18 (Eighteen) years of age   and should not have completed 35 (Thirty five)      years of age as on 01.01.2007 with usual relaxation     to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe, Other      Backward Communities.

Note:-   For concessions allowed in upper age limit, subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years, please see para (2) of the general conditions under Part II of this Notification.

7.Qualifications: 

                          A pass in SSLC or its equivalent.

        Note:-             (1)Only male candidates are eligible to apply for this post.

                        (2) Physically Handicapped persons are not eligible to apply for this post.

9.  Applications Form 

The application form is a single sheet of paper printed on both sides to facilitate Computer Processing also using the Optical Mark Reader (OMR).  Side ‘A’ is the OMR data sheet and Side ‘B’ is the conventional application form.  The candidates must darken the bubbles in Side A and fill up columns in Side B of the application. Each Application form contains a unique eight digit ‘barcode’ on side ‘A’.  This barcode number is unique for each application.  The candidate has to quote this number for further enquiries.Cost of the application form is Rs.10/- (Rupees Ten only).  The cost of the application form for SC/ST candidates in Kerala state is Rs.5/- (Rupees five only).  The application should be filled up in accordance with the directions contained in the information brochure supplied along with the application form.  The application form can be obtained from the various offices of the Kerala Public Service Commission and from the various Post Offices in Kerala.

Note: 1. Documents to prove, qualification, age and community etc., have to be   produced as and when called for.  No copies of documents should be attached with the application.

2.  Application should be submitted in the form devised and printed by the Kerala Public Service Commission and applications otherwise submitted will be summarily rejected.

As per G.O.(p) 12/96/P & ARD Dated 16.03.1996, Candidates recruited in other districts will be  permitted to be transferred to the districts Idukki, Wayanad and Kasaragod without insisting on completion of five years service in the original districts of recruitment.  This concession will be available for getting transfer into those districts, but not for getting transfer out of these districts and this concession will be granted only once in the career of the Government Servant. 

           Candidates already in Government Service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply higher posts when notified.

  Note :- (i) ‘Persons holding low paid posts with the Scale of Pay lower than Rs.4990—7990 in regular Government Service or Work Establishment Service may apply in response to this notification.  The conditions regarding age limit and General Educational Qualification (SSLC) will not apply in the case of such applicants.  They need not specify their names of their community in the relevant column of the application as this selection will be based  on the rank secured by them in the test and they will not be considered  for selection against reservation turn.  Such candidate should furnish a certificate (in original) obtained from the Head of Department or Office showing their length of service and nature of service and the service to which they belong,  when the Commission calls for the same. 

(ii) Enumerator-cum-Vaccinator of the National Small Pox Eradication Scheme and the retrenched Malaria Eradication Surveillance Workers  of the National Eradication Programme and who have completed 4 (four) years service in the programme on the date of application are eligible to apply in response to this notification.  The conditions regarding age limit   and educational qualifications (SSLC) will not apply to them.  They need not  specifiy the name of their community in the relevant column of the applications as their selection will be based on the rank secured by them as they will not be considered for selection against reservation turns.  Such candidates should furnish the certificate (in original) obtained from the Head of Department of Office, showing their length and nature of service, when the Commission calls for the same.

(iii) Persons who are working in the various departments including Secretariat and office of the Kerala Public Service Commission as Typist and have passed SSLC are eligible to  apply in response to this notification.  The above persons should have completed not less than 4 (four) years regular service on the date of applications.  The maximum age limit for such persons will be 40 (forty) years with usual relaxation on age for 3 years in the case Backward community and 5 years in the case of SC/ST candidates.

Note : The candidates belonging to Category  1, 2 & 3     should have working knowledge in Malayalam and Tamil.                        

7.Qualifications:

(i)  A pass in SSLC or equivalent examination.

(ii)  Working knowledge of both Tamil and Malayalam languages.

Note : (i) No documents to the eligibility need be attached along with the application.  Such documents have to be produced as when called for.

          (ii)  In the case of candidates advised for the post in the Registration Department, they should also pass a `Handwriting test` in Tamil.
