(4)  The selection in pursuance of the notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject  to the special conditions laid down in G.O.(Ms.) No. 154/71/PD., dated 27-5-1971.  A candidate advised for appointment in one revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes five years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district.  Even if transfer is allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O.(Ms.) No. 4/61/PD., dated 2-1-1961.  Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified. 

5.  Method of Appointment:  Direct Recruitment.

6.  Age limit         : Should have completed 18 (Eighteen) years of age and should not have   completed 38 (Thirty eight) years of age as on 01.01.2007.

7.  Qualifications :-   (i) Must have studied upto VIII standard or its equivalent.

                                  (ii) Should have good physique and must be free from physical         deformity and diseases of any description.

      Note :-    Physical fitness shall be certified by a Medical Officer not below the rank of an Assistant Surgeon . (Physically Handicapped persons are not eligible for the post).

The application form is a single sheet of paper printed on both sides to facilitate computer processing also using the Optical Mark Reader (OMR) .  Side ‘A’ is OMR date sheet and Side ‘B’ is the conventional application form.  The candidates must darken the bubbles in the side ‘A’ and fill up column in side ‘B’ of the application.  Candidates must fill up both sides of the application.  Each application form contains a unique eight digit barcode on side ‘A’.  This barcode is unique for each application.  The candidates has to quote this number for further communication.  The cost of application form is Rs.10/- (Rupees ten only).  The application should be filled in accordance with the directions contained in the information brochure supplied along with the application.  The application can be obtained from Post Offices in Kerala and Offices of the Commission.

Note:-  1.    Self attested copies of documents to prove, qualification, age, community etc should be attached with the application (Provisions in the General conditions in this regard is not applicable).

2.   Applications should be submitted in the form devised and printed by the KPSC and those applications submitted otherwise will be summarily rejected.

(iv)                 The selection in pursuance of the notification will be made on a Revenue District basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O.(MS)No.154/71/PD dated, 27.5.1971.  A candidate advised for appointment in the Revenue District from the ranked list prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes 5 years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district. Even if transfer is allowed after 5 years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O. (MS)No.4/61/PD dated, 02.01.1961.  Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when notified.

(v)                 Women and Physically handicapped candidates are not eligible to apply for the post.

(vi)                The provisions for the award of weightage marks (5 marks) as contemplated in para 7 of the General condition in applicable to this post.  Therefore the candidates who applies to this post belongs in Thrissur District shall produce along with his application a certificate issued by competent Revenue Authority not below the rank of the Village Officer concerned to the effect that he belongs in Thrissur District (For details see para 7 of the general conditions).
