6. Age Limit : Must have completed 19 (Nineteen) years and must not have completed 36 (Thirty six) years of age as on 01.01.2008. Usual relaxation of age to SC/ST and OBC candidates shall be allowed.

7. Qualifications: B.Sc (Hons) or M.Sc. Degree or any equivalent Degree in Geology, Applied Geology or Mining.
OR
Diploma in Geology from the Indian School of Mines and Applied Geology, Dhanbad or any other equivalent qualification.

a) Diploma in Civil Engineering of the Kerala University or Diploma recognized by the Govt. as equivalent thereto.
b) Minimum 2 years service as Second Grade Draftsman/Overseer, 3rd Grade Overseer/Tracer, Clerks, Typists, Typist-Clerks and Confidential Assistants in the concerned Department.
